Pokémon 30th: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex decks
The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks land on 30 October. The Pokémon benchmark before them: the price of Mew ex, its pull rate, and what the two say together.

On 30 October, a new wave of the Pokémon 30th Celebration calendar brings the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks. Before it arrives, a benchmark: Mew ex, a special illustration of the main set, reads at this price, and its pull rate is still missing from that figure. That rate changes what the price asks of anyone opening packs, and it reads further down. The detail is on the Mew ex card page and on the 30th Celebration set breakdown.
The Pokémon Mew ex card next to Pikachu ex
Two special illustrations of the main set
Pikachu ex, another special illustration of the set, reads at $92.16. Neither of these two cards is in a deck, and no deck price is read here: the benchmark places the set, not the decks. In this set, the value concentrates on the special illustrations, which is why they are read first when a wave approaches. The Pikachu ex card page holds the full series.
What the price does not say: luck
Mew ex
17%1 card in 200 packs.
About 6 boxes would be needed for one copy on average.
This rate holds for an ordinary booster, not for a deck. Each pack has a single rare slot, shared between the ordinary rares and the special illustrations: aiming at Mew ex in particular takes more packs than a box holds. The guaranteed Pikachu in each pack sits in another slot: it takes nothing from the hunt for special illustrations, and does not make it easier either.
Set side by side, these two figures answer the practical question: the card can be had as a single, at its price of the day, while hunting it inside packs offers no guarantee. The calendar continues on 4 December with the Binder Collection and the Sylveon ex and Greninja ex Tins, other products this benchmark says nothing about.
